Advantages of roof tiles with granulate

Unique lightweight roof covering is formed from joining an advanced designed with quality steel plate and with resistance of mineral granulate. MRS produces such a roof covering in three design variants:

QUALITIES:
- Low weight - 6,4 – 7,5 kg/m2
- steel sheet with an anti-corrosive ALUZINC protection guarantee up to 6x greater corrosion resistance when compared with galvanised sheets
- surface finish is created by strata of paint coatings on the base of acrylate. The mineral granulate is fixed into the main layer. The top layer is made by transparent varnish with additions against moss and alga growth
- lifetime is c. 80-100 years according to local conditions
- load bearing capacity is from 600 to 1200kg/m2 according to the type of covering
- small format –each tile has coverage 0,43-0,55 m2 according to the type of covering
- roof tiles are mounted on the battens. COPPO tiles are recommended to fix on the boarding into the special plastic „boots“
- tiles are mounted with corrosion-proof nails or with new special screw-nails
- roof covering can be processed in details as common tile roof covering according to established tinsmith norms and standards
- one pallet is 400pcs of tiles (300 pcs of COPPO tiles), it means c. 200sqm
- roof covering fulfils the requirements for fire endurance according to the class
ADVANTAGES:
- appearance of traditional tiles together with exceptional durability and resistance and low weight bearing capacity of rafters (7x-10x lighter than concrete or clay tiles). These characteristics makes our roof covering as an ideal solution for quality reconstruction or for lightweight type of rafter frames (e.g. nailed beams)
- stone granulate deadens the sound of rain
- Roof tiles with granulate are as the natural snow holder and increase resistence against mechanic damage
- for roofs with a pitch from 10° or 12° according to the type.
- wide selection of colours enables to blend with surroundings buildings (e.g. listed buildings zones) or to express individuality of building
- low weight and small format of tiles make easy and cheaper transport, handling and stocking of roof covering
- small format of tiles save costs during assembly -it produces the minimum amount of waste in details on complex roofs, cladding of tiles can be made easily by pair of roofers, also in windy weather.

- the method of assembly and fixing of tiles do not affect the appearance of roof covering, it is safe and maintenance-free against water leakage and against strong windstorms
- design and material of the tiles is resistant against ice, snow, high temperatures or rainstorms Thanks to the method of tile ending (bending) in details, especially in valley give to our roof covering special resistance and it is suitable to the extreme mountain conditions (except the type COPPO).
